Since we got a late start on finding a place, and are
fighting wedding
season,
the pickings were slim. I had to rule out Chestnut Ridge because the hotel
on site
did not have enough rooms. However they were very competitively priced
and would be my personal first choice for 2012 if we decide not to go back
to Indian Lake.
We also ruled out Hidden Valley and Seven Springs because you have to drive
to the
golf course from the rooms, among other reasons.
Carroll Valley's location did not seem to be a problem to us. Since we
have
been staying where we play,
very few Bros venture to campus or J-Town Bro Am weekend. We do have a lot
of devoted return golfers from
NY, NJ, East PA, MD, VA, and DC, so those of us in Western PA may have a
further drive this year.
As you might expect going to a nicer place has its drawbacks.
- Each person must call and make a reservation. Individual $100 deposits
will be accepted through May 1, 2011. If you don’t call and make a
deposit,
I can’t help you.
- We must supply a head count of the expected 2 night / 2 Day package
golfers ASAP to block the rooms for 2 nights.
- We already have 25 rooms blocked for Saturday only, after May 1 rooms not
reserved will be released from the block.
- A complete rooming list is due 30 days prior to arrival (by 6/30/11)

$220 for Single Occupancy 1 Night / 1 Day
